The CIV USA- GARCIA CARRION farming tradition originates in Jumilla in 1890. Our ancestors as owners of vineyards, produced grapes and sold the wine on their own winery. Furthermore, in 1890, the actual management’s great- grandfather built a new winery with large scale for that period. This was to manage the rapid growth of Jumilla’s wine exports to France, where the vineyards were devastated by phylloxera.
Nowadays and since 1968 the company has been managed by Jose García Carrión, incorporating his son Luciano in 1997, who has given a great push into the international markets. A family heritage passed down over five generations is glad to be forming a part in the U.S.A market. For over 125 years we have held our values of quality that have been passed down through five generations: the quality of all of our products, the quality in the care and service we bring to our customers, and that human quality in the spirit of our team that has always characterized us.

Since 1890 the efforts of CIV USA – Garcia Carrion family, passing down over 5 generations, offers excellent quality at the best price from different D.O wines like Jaume Serra Cristalino or Opera Prima to products like Sangria or Tinto de Verano Don Simon. Our Wineries
Spain has the largest surface area of vineyards in the world. Each region produces wine, meaning that there are many excellent wineries to be found nearly everywhere. CIV USA- García Carrión, with wineries in the most important wine regions in Spain, make wines from D.O of Rioja, Ribera de Duero, Rueda, Catalunya, Penedés, Jumilla, La Mancha, Valdepeñas, Toro and Cava.
Being the first winery in Europe and the fourth in the world, our team of world-class winemarkers craft wines from the highest quality fruit, picked from our own vineyards throughout premier grape-growing regions in Spain.
Our Facilities
Our passion for quality have made us have a unique plant in Europe with 1,500 proprietary ha and 5,000 ha shared with farmer’s associations. We make juices from the orange trees that are squeezed in just 24 hours from being picked.
Furthermore, we are passionate about new technology having a global winery in the largest vineyard in the world with ultramodern steel macrotanks to store up to 160 million litres of wine with a production capacity of 100 million kilos of grapes.
WATER STEWARDSHIP
The use and optimization of water consumption, highly valued resource in Spain, it is one of our achievements in the reduction of the enviroment impact throung the treatment and re-using of the sewage water.
BUSTARDS / ANIMAL PROTECTION
We have reserved within the farm of the Huelva plant an area of 250 hectares Natural Park, where the bustards can live and reproduce in the best conditions, without any danger theatening them.
100% RECYCLED OF WASTEWATER
We recycle 100% of our wastewater and use it for irrigation on our grove of over 1 million orange trees surrounding the plant, allowing us to save 2 million litres of water per day in our Huelva´s plant.
